Motivate

Stuck ➡ Driven
The Listening Session
Meeting resistance before the drive
This Guided Listening Session was produced for the Wellbeing at Work community and designed for the moment you know exactly what needs to happen — and still can't get moving. The task you've been circling. The Monday that hasn't found its gear. The class, the start line, the thing you keep putting off.
It doesn't ask you to feel motivated straight away. It starts where you actually are: stuck, a little heavy, waiting for a feeling that was never going to arrive on its own. Underneath, a repetitive guitar figure holds still for longer than feels comfortable — representing that can't-get-going feeling — while a steady rhythm keeps quietly moving under it. Bit by bit, the stillness loosens. The rhythm section builds. The voice leads you into one small, honest first move, and the music gathers around it. By the end, you're not hyped. You're just in motion — driven, not forced, and finally going.
Motivation isn't a mood you wait for.
It's a spark that turns potential into action, and it runs on a different system in the brain to raw energy. Energy without motivation can feel restless, like pacing with nowhere to put it. Motivation without energy can feel frustrating — wanting to start, but having nothing in the tank.
Music has a unique ability to bridge the two: a steady rhythm gives the body something to synchronise with, and that synchrony is often enough to loosen the resistance that's been holding you still.

The Playlist
This button will take you to Tune My Music, where the playlist is ready to drop into your streaming service for free. It may ask you to briefly connect your account so it can find the right version for you — nothing is saved or shared beyond that.
Reflection
What's the smallest possible first move you could make on the thing you've been putting off?
Not the whole task — just the first honest step.
